Beneath Hill 60 - Bringing added meaning to the term Diggers

Tue, 24 Apr 2018
19:00 - 21:30

Set during World War I, the film tells the story of the 1st Australian Tunnelling Company's efforts in mining underneath Hill 60 in the Ypres Salient on the Western Front. During the war, a series of mines filled with explosive charges were placed beneath German lines to aid the advance of allied troops. The film portrays the amazing true exploits of father son miners from Wallsend (Queensland) who tunnelled under the German trenches on the Western Front during World War I.

Join us for what will be both an entertaining and informative evening. Bring a chair, hire a bean bag and enjoy this amazing true story as it is told on the eve of ANZAC Day.
