William Lynas Club patio upgrade project

Patio

RSL Newman and A-Troop's William Lynas Club would like to thank our generous supporters for their help in acheiving the completion of this great project. The William Lynas Club is used by the soldiers, RSL, local security & emergency services, school functions and other community groups.

The Club is utilised for community functions such as ANZAC Day, Vietnam Veterans (Long Tan) Day and Remembrance Day functions.

New decking boards were purchased and generously transported by MTA at a hugely discounted rate.
With the old boards replaced with the new decking it was time to begin stage 2. Wideglide Constructions built a new steel flooring frame to extend the deck out under the existing shade sail area. This extended the patio area by 9 square metres.

With the frame completed in one day, it was time to install the decking. Oh no, late rains have halted work. Fortunately the crew were back the next morning to finish tthe decking.

The team at Wideglide had the deck finished in time for the new railings to be painted by the A-Troop members. The finished patio extension was comleted in time for ANZAC Day
