Newman RSL Sub-Branch will be holding the 2025 Remembrance Day commemoration on 11 Nov 2025. The service will be held at the RSL Memorial in the Shire Gardens on the corner of Newman & Kalgan Drives.     

The 2025 ANZAC Day Commemoration will be held on Friday 25th April. All members of our community are invited to participate. Again, our day will commence with the march to the memorial where the Dawn Service will be held. The traditional Gunfire Breakfast will be held at the William Lynas Club (A-Troop, 20 Laver Street) where our day of fellowship and comaraderie will continue into the afternoon. We wish to sincerely thank all our sponsors and contributors.          

Please join us as we commemorate the sacrifice of the fallen this ANZAC Day. March: This year it is important to note that the march steps off from Newman House (at the round-a-bout near Woolworths). Please be parked and ready to form up no later than 0540hrs. Service:  The service will be held at the Shire of East Pilbara Administration gardens at approximately 06:00am. Please be parked, with headlights off no later than 0540hrs. Newman RSL wishes to invite members of the public to join them in commemorating those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of Australia. The 2022 ANZAC Day Commemorative Service will commence after the march at approximately 06:00 and is expected to conclude at 07:00. The service will be held at thr Newman RSL Cenotaph, Shire administration gardens, corner Kalgan and Newman Drives. This is a family friendly event. Attendees are expected to comply with any and all Covid requirements. Covid requirements will be updated on this page closer to the time.

For those wishing to participate in the Newman ANZAC Day Commemorative March; Form up 0540 Newman House Step off at 0550 arriving at the Newman RSL Cenotaph approximately 0600 for the commencement of the Commemorative Service. Newman RSL will hold a commemorative service for Vietnam Veterans Day at the RSL Memorial on Sunday August 18th at 17:00. All community members are invited to attend a commemorative service to remember Long Tan and all losses of the Vietnam War.  

The Newman RSL Sub-Branch and A-Troop, The Pilbara Regiment invite you to the 2019 ANZAC Day Commemorative Service. The morning will commence at 05:45 with a march from BHP Housing Office to the Memorial in the Shire Gardens. This is followed by our Commemorative Service at the Memorial at approx 06:00 (immediately on arrival of the march). Our day continues after the service with our Community Gunfire Breakfast at the William Lynas Club, A-Troop Depot, 20 Laver Street. Please coninue to enjoy the day with 2-Up, entertainment from The JAB, raffles, Gold Coin BBQ lunch (donations going to the Cadets) and most of all - Commraderie and Fellowship on this special day of remembramce.  are providing a mini-bus and driver for your safety. The Newman RSL Sub-Branch will be commemoratimg Vietnam Veterans Day at the RSL Memorial at 11am on Saturday August 18th. We have changed the commemoration time this year to work in better with other Fortescue activities. Centurion Transport Newman have again made it possible to deliver fresh flowers for the commemorative service. Set during World War I, the film tells the story of the 1st Australian Tunnelling Company's efforts in mining underneath Hill 60 in the Ypres Salient on the Western Front. During the war, a series of mines filled with explosive charges were placed beneath German lines to aid the advance of allied troops. The film portrays the amazing true exploits of father son miners from Wallsend (Queensland) who tunnelled under the German trenches on the Western Front during World War I. Join us for what will be both an entertaining and informative evening. Bring a chair, hire a bean bag and enjoy this amazing true story as it is told on the eve of ANZAC Day. This is a smoking and alcohol free event. Popcorn, soft drink and a sausage sizzle will be provided on the night with all proceeds to the Newman RSL.
